Taxil Hoax is an homage to our ancestors, gone but not forgotten. Inspired by the perfectly imperfect wonders of the world, I create magical talismans to bring comfort, power, and act as an extension of the wearer.
Embedded in magic, they are like unearthed treasures, waiting to speak their story. Artifacts of nature, romantisized history, and pieces meant to invoke feeligs of beauty, nostalgia, and mysterious realms.
Each piece is handcrafted by me, Lola in my studio in the mountains of California. I live with my two children, Odin and Elias and my wee kitty, Hazel. Surrounded by nature, I am able to fully immerse myself in the call to create jewelry that celebrates the raw beauty of all that is and was. I call upon my ancestral roots finding beauty in the natural world as well as the past.  My pieces are meant to feel like unearthed treasures that tell a story of another time.

I have always loved making art, as well as collecting antiques and old trinkets. My favorites are the ones that feel ancient and imperfect. I began making jewelry 2011 when I realized that I had a lot of antiques that I wished I could wear. I began taking antique and vintage jewelry apart and put them back together to fit my style. Through time, my love for jewelry making has grown and I continue to learn new ways to create.
